Ill Manors Trailer Analysis

1) The trailer follows the philosophy of the enigma code and it is showcased in the trailer with a lot of scenes with guns, violence and drugs by doing this it sets up the film as a thriller drama because they set the tone it wants with the trailer itself. They will use parallel music in the trailer because they want to set the tone of the movie by playing music that sets the tone of the movie.

2) Trailers are normally distributed on TV first because it's the number one form of media for all ages however when the trailer finally is Televised after that they will post it on YouTube because the younger audiences will normally access their latest media news via the internet so when it comes to trailers they will also find them on YouTube instead of TV.

3) They use fast pacing throughout the trailer to simulate the non-stop lifestyle that the trailer is trying to represent, also they include very little lighting in the trailer it contains dark colours that doesn't stand out which is a reverence to the movie about wearing dark clothes so that they don't stand out, Ben Drew wants to set the tone of the hood lifestyle.

4) The target audience for the film is for young teenagers to young adults (16 - 30) because it contains a lot of content that this age demographic likes for example rap music, the guns and drug culture. One of the movies unique selling points is that Ben Brew created a song for the movie and played it throughout the movie as well by doing this people that like the music will remember the movie as well because they share the same title. They used the two step flow media theory in the trailer by showcasing all of the amazing reviews that the movie is getting by top end media generalist. It's a way so that the general public

5) They wanted to create a serious vibe around the film so they can recreate the atmosphere that this type of area creates when they are in it. The colours that all the characters wear are black or very dark colours and one of the characters also mentions this as well which is a way to represent how Ben Drew wants to recreate this type of area to the best of his ability. Also the majority of the film is in a dark setting normally the film is shot between night time or in a dark environment. The music Ben Drew uses as well normally advance the plot or adds to the environment he's trying to create.
