ill Manors Movie Review

The director in the film is Ben Drew who is more known as Plan B who decided to make a film after the London Riots and he says his main motivation to make the film was of the miss representation of teenagers and anyone who lives in a council house is the scum of the earth. This was Ben Drew's first ever attempt of making a movie and the majority  reviews of the movie was positive.

The main stars of the movie are Riz Ahmed who recently is now staring in top end movies like Nightcrawler and has been apart of other movies like Closed Circuit and The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Ed Skrein who has been apart of a lot of TV shows like Game of Thrones and The Tunnel and you have Ben Drew himself who is a very popular rapper releasing songs like She Said and the song ill Manors.

The Plot is all about circle of character which "follows six disparate lives, all struggling to survive the circles of violence that engulf them. There is ex-dealer Kirby, who has just been released from prison, thug Ed who will stop at nothing to find his missing phone, troubled Michelle who is just looking for her next hit, young Jake who finds himself drawn to the local gang, Chris, who seeks revenge, Katya, who is desperately trying to escape this foreign land, and Aaron, our main protagonist who is just trying to do the right thing." Rotten Tomato

The main characters are Aaron, Kirby, Ed, Michelle, Jake and Chris.

The genre of the film is a protest drama which is different in comparison to other movies that are being released the majority of films that are being released right now are action thrillers even in 2012 when this film was released which is one of the films unqiue selling points because not that many films are like this, there are very little amount of films that are focused on the youth problems of today like this film presents like with Ben Drew directing it, someone who has been apart of this type of area when growing up it showcases his knowledge of the ghetto area.

The soundtrack of the film was made by Ben Drew and Al Shux with the main song being ill Manors the song which is also used in the trailer as well.

The audience that I would recommend this movie to is the younger teenage demographic and the younger adult audience because they would be still aware of this type of culture and would enjoy a movie that would represent today's problem however I would recommend this movie to older adults because I believe this movie does represent today's problems with troubled youths
